In Episode 42, Retro Media Talk goes back to Camp Crystal Lake to re-visit FRIDAY THE 13TH Part 3 in 3D.

This is the third installment directed by Steve Miner. This movie continues the story of the iconic killer, Jason Voorhees, as he returns to terrorize unsuspecting victims.

The film begins with a recap of the events from the first two movies, establishing the legend of Jason Voorhees. This time, the story revolves around a group of teenagers who decide to spend a weekend at a remote cabin at Crystal Lake. Unbeknownst to them, this seemingly peaceful location holds a dark and deadly secret.

As the group settles in, Jason, who has survived his previous encounters, makes his presence known. He begins a brutal and relentless killing spree, using his trademark hockey mask for the first time in the series. The terrified teens must fight for their lives as they become his prey, one by one.

Amidst the chaos, the film also explores the relationship between Chris Higgins, one of the young women in the group, and a mysterious figure from her past. This backstory adds an extra layer of tension to the unfolding horror.

"Friday the 13th Part 3" is known for its use of 3D technology, which was a major draw for audiences at the time of its release. The film features creative and gruesome death scenes, including iconic moments such as the harpoon through the eye and the infamous "eye-popping" scene.
